Ambulance bases

Response stations are located strategically throughout the county to provide quick responses to emergency calls. Please note that paramedics may not always be at the station — always call 911 in an emergency.

Learn CPR, First Aid and defibrillation – you never know when you may need it. Many agencies offer CPR, defibrillator and First Aid training.

Defibrillator Program

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) can help save lives when combined with early CPR. We raise donations throughout the year to help fund the purchase of AEDs for not-for-profit organizations in Northumberland.

Careers with Northumberland Paramedics

Northumberland Paramedics are certified as either Primary Care Paramedics (PCP) or Advanced Care Paramedics (ACP). PCPs have received at least two years of college education, along with continuing medical education four times per year. Advanced Care Paramedics have received the foundational two years of college education, as well as at least one additional year of specialized education, and attend continuing education sessions four times per year.
