Cobourg, ON – October 13, 2026 –Looking for fun, free activities for your family this fall? Northumberland County is inviting families with young children to attend the Family Expo on Monday, October 26, a free community event where families can play, explore, discover local programs and services, and connect with other parents and caregivers.
Designed with families in mind, the Family Expo brings together a variety of organizations that support children, youth, parents and caregivers all in one welcoming space. From hands-on activities and interactive exhibits to opportunities to meet service providers and learn more about local supports, there is something for every family to enjoy.
Families can also explore the EarlyON Child and Family Centre, including the Inaate’abiwin Indigenous playroom and accessible outdoor playground. Plus, Zoo to You will be on site from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., offering educational activities and the opportunity to get up close with animals and reptiles.
“We invite local families to come connect with local organizations, discover available supports, and enjoy a fun day together,” said County Early Years Services Manager Lesley Patterson. “By bringing community partners together in one location, we hope to make it easier for families to learn the many resources available to them, while also getting the chance to meet other families, play and learn together.”
