Cobourg, ON – October 29, 2026 – Northumberland County has received a MarCom Gold Award for the design of its 2025 Annual Report, the County’s first digital version of this annual publication.
This year’s award marks the 8th consecutive year that Northumberland County has received recognition for the design of its annual report publication. The County has received a MarCom award for every Annual Report designed since 2019, along with a Hermes Creative ‘Gold’ Award for the 2019 Annual Report, and a Hermes Creative ‘Honourable Mention’ Award for the 2018 Annual Report. This ongoing recognition reflects the County’s commitment to producing industry-leading professional communications that are clear, effective and transparent.
“The Annual Report is a key transparency measure for the County; it’s about accountability to the people we serve,” states County Warden Bob Crate. “We have produced this resource every year for the last 12 years and, throughout that time, we have continued to evolve how we present information to make it accessible and engaging for residents. This award is wonderful recognition of that ongoing commitment, and of the creativity and care our staff bring to helping residents understand the work of the County and the value of the services we deliver.”
The 2025 Annual Report provides an overview of the County’s financial performance from that fiscal year, including access to the full audited financial statements for the organization. In addition, the report includes information about County services, and advancements and accomplishments from 2025, along with priorities being addressed in 2026.
The report allows community members to better understand how their tax dollars are being put to work to deliver services to our community.
