TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the municipality of Northumberland County passed an amended municipal-wide development charges By-law No. 30-2026 on the 16th day of September, 2026 under section 2 (1) of the Development Charges Act, 1997, S. O., 1997 c. 27, as amended.
Northumberland County has been doing ongoing work on a new development charge study. By-law 30-2026 extends the current existing development charge by-law to allow more time for the new development charge study to be completed.
The development charge amounts remain unchanged by the amendment and can be viewed on the Northumberland County website at: Northumberland.ca/DevelopmentCharges
No key map has been provided as the by-law amendment applies to all lands located within the municipality of Northumberland County.
A copy of the complete by-law amendment is available for examination at the municipality of Northumberland County offices, 555 Courthouse Road, Cobourg, Ontario K9A 5J6 during regular business hours (weekdays from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM) excluding statutory holidays. A copy of the by-law amendment can also be viewed in the regular council meeting minutes from September 16th, 2026.
