Cobourg, ON – June 25, 2025 – Northumberland County is inviting residents to attend a public information session to learn more about the upcoming Killoran Creek Culvert replacement project on County Road 25 in Hastings.
The session will provide an opportunity for residents, businesses, and road users to learn about the planned construction work, project timeline, traffic impacts, detour routes, and how the work will be managed to support safety and minimize disruption.
The Killoran Creek culvert is located on County Road 25, approximately 50 metres south of County Road 45 in Hastings. Through ongoing inspections and engineering assessments, the culvert has been identified for replacement due to deterioration and erosion that has developed over time.
The project will involve removing the existing culvert and installing new infrastructure to ensure the long-term safety and reliability of this important transportation route.
Construction will require a temporary road closure on County Road 25. A signed detour route will be in place utilizing County Road 45, Concession Road 8 West, and County Road 25 south of Hastings.

Residents are encouraged to attend to learn more about the project and speak directly with County staff and project representatives. Project updates, traffic notices, and construction information will be shared through Northumberland County communication channels as work progresses.
