Proclamation – Seniors Month, June 2026

“Whereas the Province of Ontario recognizes June as Seniors Month, a dedicated time to celebrate the accomplishments, wisdom, and ongoing contributions of older adults in our communities; and

Whereas seniors have been, and continue to be, essential to the growth, resilience, and wellbeing of Northumberland County; and

Whereas older adults bring invaluable knowledge, mentorship, and leadership, generously sharing their time and talents as volunteers, caregivers, advisors, and active participants in community life; and

Whereas during June, Northumberland County joins municipalities across Ontario in acknowledging and celebrating the achievements of seniors, renewing our commitment to support their health, wellbeing, and continued engagement in community life, and expressing our sincere appreciation for their lifelong contributions;

Now Therefore Be It Resolved That I, Warden Robert Crate, on behalf of Northumberland County Council do hereby proclaim June 2026 to be ‘Seniors Month’ in Northumberland County.”
