Event Details

National AccessAbility Week (NAAW), is celebrated each year to highlight the importance of accessibility and inclusion in our communities and workplaces. It’s a time to recognize and celebrate the many contributions of people with disabilities in Northumberland County and across Canada.

This year’s theme, “Accessible Workplaces: Stronger Communities,” was developed by the Northumberland Accessibility Advisory Committee. It reflects how inclusive workplaces help build stronger, more connected communities where everyone has the opportunity to contribute and succeed.

On May 20, Northumberland County Council officially proclaimed the week of May 31 to June 6 as National AccessAbility Week in Northumberland.
