Public Notice: Possible disruptions to waste and recycling collection due to weather conditions 

Cobourg, ON – January 26, 2026 – Northumberland County is advising that some residents may experience a possible disruption in waste and recycling collection today due to poor road conditions.

If your scheduled collection does not occur by 7 p.m. this evening, please remove your waste and recyclables from the curbside and place them out again on your next regularly scheduled collection day. If a delay occurs, curbside waste collection limits will be temporarily increased to four waste bags per household on the next scheduled collection day, in areas affected by the delay only.
