Notice to Stop Up and Close a Portion of Courthouse Road in Cobourg
Notice is hereby given (as per By-law 2020-46 ‘Revised Provision of Notice Policy’) that the Council of the County of Northumberland proposes to enact a by-law to:
- Permanently stop up and close – This Council does hereby stop up and close to vehicular and pedestrian traffic the portion of Courthouse Road, more particularly described as Part 6 being Lot 21 Concession 1 assumed by Plan 455 and part Unnamed Street Caddy Plan on 39R-14175, in the Town of Cobourg.
- Rename the east portion of Courthouse Road – This Council does hereby name the east portion of Courthouse Road, more particularly described as Part 7 being Part Lot 4 and Part Unnamed Street Caddy Plan ON 39R-14175 and Part 8 being part lot 4 Caddy Plan ON 39R-14175, be named Courthouse Road.
- Rename the west portion of Courthouse Road – This Council does hereby name the west portion of Courthouse Road, more particularly described as being Part 4 and 5 being Part Lot 21, Concession 1ON 39R-14175, be named Courthouse Road West.
The proposed by-law and supporting information for the road closure to which the by-law would apply is available at the Northumberland County office (555 Courthouse Road, Cobourg) during regular business hours (weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), or on the County website once the May 30th Public Works Committee agenda is published.
The proposed by-law will be considered by the Public Works Committee at its meeting to be held on Monday, May 30th, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. At that time, the Committee will hear concerns from any person, or their counsel, solicitor or agent, whose land may be affected.
