Family Literacy Day

January 27 marks Family Literacy Day, a time to encourage families to read, learn together, and celebrate the joy of shared learning and storytelling.

This year’s theme, “Making mealtime family learning time,” highlights how everyday moments – such as making shopping lists, sharing stories, or talking at the table – can support children’s learning.

EarlyON Book Reading & Lunch with Lana Button

Families with young children are invited to join EarlyON Northumberland and author Lana Button at their Cobourg location for a special reading of her book One Can, followed by a free lunch.

Children who attend the book reading will receive a free copy of One Can, a pair of small wooden mittens to decorate, and a pack of crayons to take home with them (while supplies last).
