Earth Day
Event Details
What is Earth Day?
Each year since 1970, Earth Day has been celebrated globally on April 22nd. As environmental challenges and climate change continue to be experienced at both a local and global level, it is important to work together to take action towards a more sustainable future in order to preserve our local assets for generations to come.
Northumberland County is committed to promoting and supporting actions to improve sustainability, preserve natural assets and create a healthier environment. As a municipal partner for Earth Day Canada, we will be organizing local community-based initiatives to help make a positive impact on the environment in recognition of Earth Day.
