Event: Emergency Preparedness Week
Date: May 5 to 11, 2024
“Whereas the Corporation of County of Northumberland recognizes the importance of Emergency Management in Ontario; and
Whereas the goal of Emergency Preparedness Week is to raise community awareness and the need to prepare for the possibility of an emergency; and
Whereas the safety of our community is the responsibility of each and every one of us, we must prepare now and learn how to secure a strong and healthy tomorrow;
Now Therefore Be It Resolved That I, Warden Brian Ostrander, on behalf of Northumberland County Council, do hereby proclaim May 5 to May 11, 2024 to be ‘Emergency Preparedness Week’ in Northumberland County.”
