Accessible Facilities

County Headquarters is our main administrative office. In this building, you can find Council Chambers, the CAO and Clerk’s Office, Community and Social Services, Communications, Engineering, Finance, Human Resources and Transportation and Waste Administration.

Included in the over 45 kilometres of hiking trails within the County Forest are three dedicated Universal Trails. We built these trails to minimize barriers to accessibility. We wanted to make recreational opportunities within the forest accessible to even more members of the community.

These trails are located off Beagle Club trailhead, Carstairs trailhead and Woodland trailhead and offer:

• A firm and stable trail surface
• Gentle grades
• Accessible benches and rest areas throughout – you never have to go more than 500 metres before finding a place to rest
• Accessible toilets
• A designated accessible parking space at each parking lot.

At our William Street Office, you can find the Business and Entrepreneurship Centre Northumberland, The Factory, Food 4 All Warehouse, Economic Development, Tourism, Land Use Planning, Facilities and Northumberland Paramedics.
