County invites feedback about local Early Years system Public survey open until December 10

Posted on Thursday November 01, 2018

Cobourg, ON – November 1, 2018 – Northumberland County is inviting members of the public to complete a survey about the strengths and needs of local child care services and EarlyON Centre programs. Feedback will be used to create a five-year plan for the local Early Years system, supporting the evolving needs of children and families in Northumberland. The survey will close December 10th.

“Our Early Years services are designed to engage children and families in stimulating, nurturing environments that cultivate healthy child development,” states Community & Social Services Director Lisa Horne. “Through this survey, we hope to learn more about what services families and caregivers are currently using, and also what we can do to strengthen the existing system of programs and supports to best position Northumberland children to grow and flourish.”

The County is also hosting an online forum where people can connect to share and discuss ideas and priorities for the local Early Years system. For more information about both the survey and the online forum, visit
